My Weekend

I'm going to start blogging again. I have been so busy since the end of school last year. I feel like blogging is like therapy and it helps to get my feelings out.
This weekend was my schools homecoming, but instead of going to the dance I was supposed to go out of town.  Then, the day before the dance I found out that my family was going to stay in town. I was kinda sad that I didn't find out earlier because I could have gone to the dance.
Good news is that I get to go to homecoming in Colorado this coming weekend. Colorado is where I used to live so I am excited about seeing all of my old friends and going on my first date since I have turned 16! I'm so excited!

Desert's Broadway (:

I just realized I saved this as a draft instead of publishing it. You can't see it anymore, but I guess this is my review. So here it is:

:D
I am so excited to tell you about my WONDERFUL night!!!
I went to see Tuacahn's "The Little Mermaid" and I was blown away by all the actors.
If you, for some reason, are going back and forth between going and staying home and being a bum, I would go! It was AMAZING!

This is my excited self after the show tonight!

OhMyHeck!

I have always loved this movie and I used to dream that I could be a mermaid someday and marry Prince Eric.
This play pretty much cemented the fact that yes, indeed, I will do all in my power to marrry my prince and live happily ever after (:

Next year they are doing Disney's "Aladdin" and I'm sure it will be wonderful!
I saw Tarzan last year and I thought that Little Mermaid would NEVER be able to compare to it, but by golley it well exceeded my expectations!
I'm sure Aladdin will too, but I find it completely impossible that Aladdin could EVER be better than "The Little Mermaid"

Wanna know what else I realized? I am bipolar about my quotations. Sometimes 'Aladdin' and 'The Little Mermaid' will be in quotes, and other times I just leave them alone. Odd...

Well, go see The Little Mermaid ("The Little Mermaid").

End of story...

CHEER!!!

I am (attempting) to do a scorpion. I started cheer at the beginning of September and I am actually very proud of my abilities to do that. You try... and you tell me if you can do better. This freakin' kills my back every time I do it :(
I just thought I would tell you about how hard of a cheer life I have... but I love it (:
I don't even have my Back Handspring without a spot, but I still love it!
I am one of those people who will try and not give up because I want to prove to myself and everyone else that I can do anything.
So I will keep on trying to do tumbling and stunt work until I have it.

I am so excited about competition and performances (: It will be so much fun! I get to be a flyer and I am super excited about it! I was actually told that I have a natural talent at flying. Who would have thought I could learn so fast in just a month (:
In case you haven't realized... I love cheer.

So these are the inside of my cheer shoes. The one on the left in the one that I do all my libs and scorpions on, the one the right never does anything. As you can tell...
All the part that is white and peely-offy is supposed to be grey, but it all came off! That goes to show how freakin' much I do on my left leg.
It's crazy because I will go walk up my stairs after cheer and it only hurts every other step because my left leg is the only one that hurts.
Hehe. Haha. Funny cheer story!

Update! Update! Update!

I swear... It has been like 20 years since I've blogged. Let's just say I have had a VERY busy life since school has started.
I decided to get into cheer. I love it (: I'm a flyer and we are preparing for competition right now. We will be taking first ;)
I am also taking Graphic Arts at my school and it is amazing. I am learning so much and having so much fun. I definitely want to get into this field someday (:
I am also taking Honors Language Arts and have been very wrapped up in it. We are reading Great Expectations for class right now. Personally, I don’t like it. It might just be because it’s required to read though.
I recently made a model of a ziggurat for Honors World Civ. as well. I made it out of sugar cubes and it took like 4 hours to make and is made out of 8 boxes of sugar cubes… there are 260 cubes in each box. :o
I have decided I will try and blog at least once a week. Hopefully everyday (:
Thanks for reading!

Thrifting, Taffy, and Other Tasty things

Wow! Today has been cRaZy! I started my day by hopping in the car and running errands with my mom and little sister, Krista, all day. We stopped at a few places just for fun. We went to this huge warehouse full of random home décor items. It was fun (: you should have been!
This was a cool vintage mirror I REALLY wanted (:

My little sister even talked my mom into buying some amazingly delicious Taffy, we both decided to go patriotic and get the red white and blue. It was actually really good for only being 87 cents.

Deliciousness!

Krista with hers!

After taking our sugary filled break we got Dance Dance Revolution. What a fun game! I wasn’t very good at it, but, by golly! I was determined to have fun anyways! Krista is really good at the game… surprisingly (jk)!

This is Krista, rocking out.

I just found this blog beginning on my computer! It's from two days ago, oh well. I had completely forgotten about this :0 Oh well, so 2 days ago was great, I don’t really remember it, but it was great. The end… Later Kids (:

Followers and Visitors

I am excited! Are you wondering why? Yes! I am talking to you three great followers! You guys are amazing! You guys are legit. Remember to tell your friends. (: Thanks Kenzi for tweeting abour it!

I will get better at this whole blogging thing eventually! If you have any advice email me. (s.j_star@yahoo.com) Anyways...

Last night was a success! (In case you didn't read my last post, I had 8 guests over for the night.) We only knew two of them, Cameron, who is kind of like my brother, and his amazing wife Sibonet (See-bo-nay)! They are so fun, and we got to meet Sibonet's family, her 3 other siblings and her parents. They got to our house around 1:20am so we didn't have much time to socialize, but after finding sleeping arrangements for everyone, we were all too tired to do anything!

After a good night’s sleep I woke up to the smell of sausage. One by one all eight of our lovely guests filed into the kitchen. We had time to socialize and get to know each other. They were wonderful guests! They better come visit again.

This morning after they left, my mom and I decided that today would be a good day for a do-nothing day. It went well; we channel flipped and made goodies all day. I even found a great Italian Soda Recipe. They are now pretty much my favorite things. You have got to try them. Here are a few pics of them!
A delicious mixture of cream, club soda, and flavored syrup.

Even the whipped cream on top was homemade (:

Well today was productive, I believe everyone needs a little down time to just relax. Stress = no fun, but taking the time to just sit back and relax can do wonder! Later kids (:

Update and Gifts

It has been FOREVER since I have been able to access a computer to blog on. I am so thankful we finally got Wi-Fi in my new house (: Anyways...

Eight people are coming to stay at my house tonight, yeah! EIGHT!!! That's crazy. So my family has been cleaning and setting up bed arrangements all day. Thankfully earlier today we made it to Michaels, which is kind of like a hobby shop, there are a lot of crafty things there.

I bought some things for Secret Sister Gifts for my churches Girls Camp. One of the things I made is a nice little trinket box. I painted the sides with a nice b&w zebra print and the top is a dark mahogany red color with a white flower accenting the lid.

Side view (:
Well, I pretty much love it. Whoever gets this should be thankful. It took me at least three hours. Maybe I will do a tutorial on how to make it on here. I don't know if anyone cares, but that would be cool.

Well, next week I will be gone from Mon-Fri for my Girls Camp. I can probably blog Friday night though. We aren't allowed cell phones, iPods, or any other kind of electronic, so it is pretty much impossible for me to keep you all up to date on what’s happening. I will take loads of pictures though and definitely post them! It will be exciting!!! Email me if you have any fun experiences from a summer camp of yours! (s.j_star@yahoo.com)

Keep on smiling! Later kids (:
